BRS leader and former MLA Balka Suman today alleged that the famous N Convention convention centre owned by actor Akkineni Nagarjuna was demolished because the actor did not pay Rs 400 crore to the ruling party leaders.
Addressing media persons at Telangana Bhavan, Suman said, "Nagarjuna's N Convention was demolished as it was in the FTL zone. However, there is an Ananda Convention convention centre too in the FTL of Himayat Sagar lake. CM Revanth Reddy, who has apparently decided to protect all lakes in Hyderabad, is not demolishing Ananda Convention," he said. "Talk in the industry circles is that N Convention was demolished because Nagarjuna had not given Rs 400 crore to Revanth Reddy. And Ananda Convention was not demolished because they offered bribes."
He also claimed that the houses of dalit people were demolished near Sunnam cheruvu tank in Madhapur. "The CM also demolished illegal houses in Mahabubnagar, again belonging to the poor. But Congress MLA G Vivek built a farmhouse over 18 acres of land in the Gandipet tank by encroaching upon it, and the CM did not demolish it," he said
"HYDRA Commissioner Ranganath and the CM can find bulldozers to demolish the houses of the poor, so why do they not touch the farmhouse of Vivek? The State government is following one rule for the poor and another for the heads of media organisations and industrialists. The people should ponder over the Congress rule," he said. "The demolitions by HYDRA are meant only to divert the attention of people from the non-fulfillment of the promises made by the Congress."
