OU Student Leaders Upset With Congress After Committees

The leaders met TPCC vice-president Mallu Ravi and requested him to ensure that they were given importance in the allocation of party posts.
Hyderabad | 13th December 2022
TPCC vice-president Mallu Ravi on Tuesday held a meeting in Gandhi Bhavan with Osmania University student leaders.

During the discussion, the OU leaders requested Ravi to ensure that they were given importance in the allocation of party posts.

The student leaders, who claimed to have actively worked in the Telangana agitation and the Congress, expressed their disappointment over the constitution of the committees by the AICC - something which has turned quite contentious with many other leaders castigating it and even revolting.

Claiming that their problems would be solved only by a Congress government, the leaders said that they would tour all the villages in the State along with party leaders and explain to the people the "empty promises" of the ruling TRS and persuading the people to vote for the Congress, but that they (the student leaders) needed to feel included and empowered in the party.

Ravi pacified the disgruntled leaders for an hour on the committees issue. He also assured the student leaders that he would arrange meetings for them with TPCC president Revanth Reddy on Saturdays and Sundays in order to help solve their problems.
