The Department of History, Osmania University, is organizing a two-day national seminar on "Interpreting Deccan History" on June 28 and 29, 2013, at OUCIP, at 10:00am.
Osmania University Vice-Chancellor Prof. S Satyanarayana will inaugurate the seminar.
Prof. Brahmanand, ARSD College, Delhi University, and Prof. Himanshu Prabha Ray, chairperson of the National Monuments Authority, New Delhi, will deliver the keynote addresses.
Prof. V Ravindra Sastry, dean of social sciences, OU, will preside over the event, and Prof. S Mallesh, principal, Arts College, OU, will be the Guest of Honour.
More than 40 scholars from different universities are going to present their research papers on various aspects of Deccan History.
Prof. R Varalakshmi, Head, Dept. of History is the director of the seminar, and Prof. I Lakshmi is the convenor. (INN)
