First World Telugu Conference In City On Sep 30
The Telangana government will hold the inaugural function on the auspicious Vijayadasami day on September 30. The conference itself will be held from October 22 to 28.
The state government has decided to hold the inaugural function of the first World Telugu Conference on the auspicious Vijayadasami day on September 30.
The conference itself will be held from October 22 to 28.
It was earlier decided that the inaugural ceremony would be held on June 2, Telangana Formation Day. But as the day is an ashtami and the weather too would not be conducive, government advisor K V Ramanachari and other literary personalities met Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at Pragati Bhavan today and requested the change of date.
They said that it would be better to organise the conference in October instead of in June. That would give them some time to invite delegates from all over the world and to organise the conference on a larger scale.
The CM then instructed them to organise the conference from October 22 to 28 and prepare an agenda.
