No Theatre For 'Jai Bolo Telangana'
The JAC of Kakatiya University said that the high number of film goers and scarcity of theatres to release 'Jai Bolo Telangana' was Seemandhra's conspiracy.
The fact that cinema theatres are receiving a large turnout of cinema goers, especially due to many educational institutes having declared winter holidays, has now attracted the ire of Telangana protagonists.
The Joint Action Committee of Kakatiya University students on Tuesday saw the high turnout of film goers and the huge number of films in the waiting line as a deliberate ploy by Seemandhra leaders.
The holiday season, which extends up to the Sankranthi festival, is normally seen as a good time for the release of movies, and the theatres are doing a roaring business with the many potboilers being released one after the other.
This has led to some films being held up because of the fact that adequate numbers of theatres are not available to ensure a film's commercial success.
The KUS JAC leaders told media persons on Tuesday that the Seemandhra leaders have hatched a conspiracy to ensure that the film 'Jai Bolo Telangana' does not get released before December 31st, the day the Srikrishna Committee is expected to submit its report on the future of the state.
The film is directed by N Shankar from Nalgonda and Chakri from Warangal.
The JAC leaders alleged that the Seemandhra leaders were creating an artificial scarcity of theatres so that the film did not hit the screens.
"Despite obstructing the film shooting, the Seemandhra leaders have conspired so that the film is not screened in theatres," they stated.
The JAC threatened to boycott Telugu movies produced by Seemandhra leaders in Telangana region for Sankranthi festival, if they continued their adamant stand in not allotting theatres to screen "Jai Bolo Telangana'.
According to film directors, the entire cast of the movie is from Telangana region, and many fresh faces have been launched.
The movie has rich values on Telangana and the aspirations of the people towards Telangana.
The Founder-President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi K Chandrasekhar Rao also makes his celluloid debut in the film.
