There had been no loss of life or property in Hyderabad due to the recent incessant rains, Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav said today.
Yadav on Saturday visited the Hussain Sagar lake, which hit its full tank capacity due to the rains, and inspected the discharge of water downstream.
On the occasion, the Minister appreciated the GHMC Monsoon Emergency and DRF teams for discharging their duties effectively and taking all possible precautionary measures.
He said that a total of 428 emergency teams were working 24 hours a day to avoid inconvenience to the people in the GHMC limits due to the rains, and in addition to that control rooms at the GHMC head office and the EVDM Buddha Bhavan had been set up to redress grievances round the clock.
Musheerabad MLA Muta Gopal, GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose and other officials accompanied the minister during the visit.
