TPCC president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud today said that the final decision on the Telangana Cabinet reshuffle rested with the party high command.
The TPCC chief participated in a rally in New Delhi against alleged vote theft organised by the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
Speaking to the media on the occasion, he also said that he had no intention of joining the Cabinet. He instead spoke about Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's firm commitment to the development of Future City, aimed at transforming Hyderabad into a uniquely competitive global hub.
He also criticised the BJP government at the Centre for "weakening" autonomous institutions. He accused BJP leaders of turning the Election Commission of India (ECI) into a "pocket organisation", and said that the rally aimed to challenge the Centre on issues related to vote theft.
Goud also expressed confidence that the Congress would return to power in the next Assembly elections. He said that the BRS had no future in Telangana, and that BRS working president K T Rama Rao lacked the capacity to lead the party and was limited to managing the party's social media accounts. He also claimed that the BJP would never come to power in Telangana.
