No Differences With Naidu: Nagam
Telangana Telugu Desam Forum Convenor Nagam Janardhan Reddy said that he had no differences with party chief Chandrababu Naidu over the Telangana issue.
Telangana Telugu Desam Forum Convenor Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Wednesday emphasized that he had no differences with Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu on any issue.
Talking to media persons at Media Point on assembly premises, the Telangana leader blamed the media for unnecessarily airing news reports that he had differences with his party president.
Janardhan Reddy said the media had tarnished his, and his party president's images, by carrying malicious campaigns against them.
He called upon media persons to act in a responsible and constructive manner, and publish news stories only after cross-checking them.
Stating that he was a pro-Telangana activist, Janardhan Reddy added that he was ready to obey the decisions of Telangana leaders and even sacrifice his post for the sake of state formation.
He called upon Telangana leaders cutting across party lines to unite and make cohesive efforts towards achieving Telangana.
Janardhan Reddy further added that he would consider working with Political Joint Action Committee if he was convinced that it was sincerely working for Telangana state formation.
Despite Janardhan Reddy's denial, the fact that the TDP leaders from Telangana are pushing for a separate wing of the party for the region is seen as evidence that all is not well in the party.
The Telangana leaders are said to be miffed at Chandrababu Naidu for not taking any decision on the separate wing in the party to coordinate the issue of bifurcation.
Sources close to Janardhan Reddy insist that the senior leader is willing to quit the TDP, and is only waiting for Naidu to clarify his stand on the issue.
