Hyderabad | 1st December 2010
Former minister Damodar Reddy, who was not accomodated in the cabinet of N Kiran Kumar Reddy, alleged on Wednesday that the Chief Minister had cheated the Telangana people by not announcing the Deputy Chief Minister's post in his cabinet at Raj Bhavan.

Talking to media persons outside the Raj Bhavan, Damodar Reddy expressed anguish that the Telangana people had once again got a raw deal, and injustice had been done to them at the hands of the Chief Minister.

He stated that by not keeping the promise made by Congress party that the Deputy Chief Minister's post will go to a person from Telangana, the government had cheated the Telangana people.

Damodar Reddy appealed to all Telangana ministers, who were sworn in earlier on Wednesday at Raj Bhavan, to work towards protecting the interests of the region, and for formation of separate Telangana state.

The former minister also demanded that the Telangana ministers should resign from their posts if the Srikrishna Commission Report went against bifurcation.
