Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu has declared that he would ensure that the issue of the no-confidence motion was addressed at the Assembly on Saturday.
Stating that the law required a no-confidence motion to be discussed within 10 days of a notice being served to the Assembly, Naidu said that he would not wait till the monsoon session of the Assembly to have the motion addressed.
Every opposition party that carries some weight in the Assembly by virtue of its strength of numbers is preaparing itself for discussing the no-confidence motion at the Assembly on Saturday.
Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has convened yet another meeting with his party MLAs at the party headquarters in Hyderabad. With upto 60 Congress leaders reportedly sailing with him, the Kadapa MP's decision on the issue will have an impact on the final outcome of the motion.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), which is represented by 11 leaders in the Assembly, is also bent on the discussion of the no-confidence motion on Saturday. TRS leaders reportedly stated that they would obstruct the election of the Deputy Chief Minister and the Speaker in order to topple the government.
TRS members were noticed scattered around the party office all day, discussing the no-confidence motion.
