Former MP Undavalli Aruna Kumar lashed out at the Andhra Pradesh government on the AP Special Status issue, and at the YSR Congress Party for failing to offer constructive criticism in the recent State Assembly session on issues that mattered.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Kumar questioned the State government why it was not revealing the truth about the BJP's "pressure tactics" in regards to AP's Special Status demand.
He slammed the Opposition for creating a ruckus in the House and said that the YSR Congress should come up with better methods to make their point. They had failed to make the State government take a stand the denial of Special Status to Andhra Pradesh.
He also flayed the AP government for the way it handled the recent AP Assembly session which was held to ratify several bills including the GST bill.
"The State government's handling of the House was undemocratic. The members did not even get a chance to cast their votes when the Opposition introduced a no-trust motion against the government," he pointed out.
Recollecting the statement made by an Additional Advocate General that AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu had the power to manipulate courts, Reddy said that he had filed three petitions against Naidu in different cases, but none of those reached the High Court yet.
Speaking on the special package given to AP by the Central government recently, he slammed both the ruling and the Opposition Parties for "failing" to ensure that the package included the exact privileges mentioned in the Reorganisation Act. He said that AP got far less than what it deserved.
