A patient of traditional medicine practitioner Anandaiah died of Covid today.
Kotaiah, a retired teacher from Kota mandal of the Nellore district, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Nellore Government Hospital.
He had been put on a ventilator by the hospital authorities for the last three days.
Kotaiah was suffering with breathing problems and reduced oxygen levels, and took Anandaiah's medicine. He announced that his oxygen levels had gone up after taking the medicine. Later, however, he suffered shortness of breath again, and was admitted to the Kota Community Health Centre.
He was shifted to the district government hospital three days back following a significant drop in his oxygen levels.
The medicine of Anandaiah had become popular after the announcement by Kotaiah that he was cured due to it.
