Kakani Govardhan Reddy, an MLA from Nellore district and a YSR Congress Party leader, today said that the distribution of the concoction prepared by the district-based Anandaiah would be allowed only after approval from the state government.
He also urged the people of the state to not spread any rumours about the medicine.
Speaking to media persons, he said that different people were giving different opinions on the medicine prepared by Anandaiah, and urged the people not to speculate until the state government took a decision, and said that all issues would soon be clarified after the submission of a report by the officials to the government.
Meanwhile, Anandaiah said that he would do whatever the state government asked him to. He said that the authorities concerned had conducted tests on his medicine on Saturday and that an ICMR team was also coming to the area to study his medicine.
Separately, ruling party MLA Ch Bhaskar Reddy held a meeting with Ayurveda experts on the issue. Speaking to media persons later, Reddy said that the experts had evaluated the medicine, and that they could manufacture the medicine if the government approved it. He said that the herbs being used by Anandaiah were present in large quantities in the Seshachalam forest.
