AP Green Signal For Anandaiah's Covid Medicine

The government however did not give permission to him to distribute his eye drops, and is waiting for the report of the authorities concerned on the drops.
Hyderabad | 31st May 2021
The state government today gave permission to herbal medicine practitioner Anandaiah to distribute his medicines that reportedly help Covid patients.

The government said that Anandaiah could distribute three types of orally consumable medicines.

The permission was granted on the basis of a report by CCRAS.

The government however did not give permission to him to distribute his eye drops, and is waiting for the report of the authorities concerned on the drops.

The government also made it clear that it could not guarantee that the medicines of Anandaiah would help cure Covid-19.

The government's decision to allow the distribution of the medicine comes in the wake of the observations made by the High Court of the state on the delay in granting permission to the medicine.

The remarks of the HC had come while dealing with a petition filed by Anandaiah himself alleging that the state government was not giving permission to him to distribute his medicines to the Covid patients.
