Need To Work 18 Hours A Day To Compete With AP CM: Revanth Reddy

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today said that he used to think that working 12 hours a day was enough for the development of Telangana, but looking at Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, he had decided that he would now need to work for 18 hours per day to compete with him.

"For a player to understand his skill, he needs to compete with another good player. Now Chandrababu Naidu is there in Andhra Pradesh. So all the officials of Telangana and other leaders, including myself, have to work 18 hours a day to compete with him," he said.

Reddy was participating in the 24th anniversary program of the Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute. Speaking on the occasion, he recalled the services of former CM N T Rama Rao and Chandrababu Naidu for the welfare of people.

"NTR gave us the legacy of the politics of welfare. Chandrababu Naidu completed the Basavatarakam hospital with the aim of continuing NTR's vision, and made it serve the poor," Reddy said.

The CM said that the Basavatarakam hospital would definitely have a place in the hearts of the people, and that the Congress government would support it in any way required.

He also said that the Telugu States should stand as a model for the world in development and welfare, and that the Congress government was considering the establishment of a health tourism hub in Telangana.

"We plan to set up the hub on 500-1,000 acres near the Shamshabad area," Reddy said.
