Nagole-Miyapur Metro Rail Launch In November: KTR
The Telangana government had asked PM Modi to launch the 30-km stretch first phase in November, and the date was yet to be finalized, the minister said.
The Hyderabad Metro Rail project's first phase services will be launched from Miyapur either on November 15 or 20, according to Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao.
The Telangana government had appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to launch the first phase's 30-km stretch from Miyapur to Nagole in November, and the date was yet to be finalized, he said.
The minister was inspecting the Metro Rail works at Secunderabad's Oliphanta Steel Bridge along with Metro Rail Managing Director N V S Reddy, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Information Commissioner Navin Mittal and other officials.
He announced that there would be one ticket to avail oneself of the Metro Rail, RTC and MMTS services in the twin cities, and that the services of Ola and Uber would be attached to the metro stations for swift movement of commuters. The Metro Rail route map app would be launched soon, he added.
The minister said that there would be four ways to move in and out of a Metro station. Steps had been taken to avoid traffic problems at the stations, he added.
