Miyapur - L B Nagar Metro To Be Ready By June: KTR
Telangana Municipal & IT Minister K T Rama Rao said that the government was firm about completing works on the Metro Rail in time.

Telangana Municipal & IT Minister K T Rama Rao today declared that the Metro Rail line connecting Miyapur and L B Nagar would be completed by next June.
Speaking at a municipal development program that he was participating in, the minister said that to develop the city into a world-class capital with all the required services and infrastructure in place, he stated that the state government was firm about completing works on the Metro Rail in time.
KTR also shared details of the other works being undertaken by the government, and said that a whopping Rs 2,000 crores was being spent on the construction of reservoirs to provide safe drinking water to the residents of the twin cities. He also said that Rs 700 crores would be spent on providing drinking water to areas lying in the Outer Ring Road zone.
With regard to developing infrastructure in the city, KTR said that besides the construction of an underground drainage facility which would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 3,100 crores, 4,000 houses, too, would be built for the poor in the L B Nagar and Maheshwaram mandals.
He also claimed that his government had improved the power supply in the state by spending an amount of Rs 12,000 crores.
