Munugodu: Chelamala To Support Palvai Sravanthi
Aspirant for the party ticket for the Munugodu by-election Chelamala Krishna Reddy today pledged his support to the official candidate, Palvai Sravanthi.
Congress leader and an aspirant for the party ticket for the upcoming Munugodu Assembly constituency by-election Chelamala Krishna Reddy today pledged his support to the official candidate of the party for the by-election, Palvai Sravanthi.
Reddy said that he would work hard for the victory of Sravanthi in the by-election.
He made the announcement after discussions with TPCC president A Revanth Reddy, who sought his support for the victory of the party candidate.
Speaking on the occasion, Krishna Reddy said that although he had thought that he would get the party ticket, the fact was that he did not get it, and he would now stand by the decision of the party high command as a loyal foot-soldier of the party.
He said that he would get other opportunities in the days to come, and for now he would work hard for the victory of Sravanthi in the by-election, and honourably discharge the responsibilities assigned to him by the party high command.
He also expressed confidence that the party would win the by-election.
Krishna Reddy also expressed hope that party MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy would also campaign for the party.
Claiming that the main contest would be between the TRS and the Congress, Krishna Reddy said that the BJP would be a distant third in the by-poll.
He also alleged that the BJP candidate Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy was buying sarpanches and MPTCs by spending a lot of money. He however claimed that the sarpanches and MPTCs who had left the party were now ready to return home, and that Rajagopal Reddy could never buy the Congress cadre in the constituency.
