Former minister and noted dalit leader Motkupally Narasimhulu is set to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) fold on October 18.
He will join the ruling party in the presence of its boss and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, at Telangana Bhavan.
He is tipped to be getting some key post upon his joining.
Motkupally was present during the Dalit Bandhu meeting chaired by the Chief Minister recently. Motkupally also met the CM during the Assembly session's Dalit Bandhu debate, and appreciated the CM for launching the program. Rumours have since then been rife that he would join the TRS.
It is being stated that Motkupally may be offered the post of the Chairman of the Dalit Bandhu program.
Motkupally had previously served in various positions in the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in united Andhra Pradesh, and had a falling out with Chandrababu Naidu in 2018, following which he turned a strident critic of the party.
