Former Indian Cricket team captain Mohammed Azharuddin filed his nominations for the post of the President of Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Azharuddin said that he had the right to contest the election and claimed that he was contesting following the recommendations of the Lodha Committee.
He exuded confidence that he would win the elections and clean up the HCA which was facing corruption charges.
"I will extend my support to the development of the HCA and strive to produce the best cricketers," he added.
