Dismissing Azharuddin's petition, the Hyderabad High Court today directed that the results of the Hyderabad Cricket Association elections be announced.
The Hyderabad High Court today directed that the results of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) elections be announced.
The High Court dismissed a petition filed by former Indian cricket team captain Mohammed Azharuddin challenging the HCA elections.
The nomination of Azharuddin had been rejected for the reasons that he was not a member of the HCA and that he was facing a life ban. After Azharuddin's nomination was rejected, former Member of Parliament G Vivek and Vidyuth Jaisimha, son of late former cricketer M L Jaisimha, were in the fray for the president's post in the elections, which were held on January 17, 2017.
The results will be announced any time now after the completion of the counting process.
