Kishan Reddy Doesn't Know How To Hold A Bat: Azhar

Minister and former cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin today hit back at Union Minister Kishan Reddy for the latter's remarks against him.

During the Jubilee Hills by-election campaign, Reddy has accused Azharuddin of tarnishing India's reputation as a cricketer, and said that several cases were still pending against him. He also remarked that appointing someone like him as a minister in the Congress was a disgrace to democracy.

Azharuddin questioned Kishan Reddy's knowledge of cricket, and said that the latter did not even know how to hold a bat. He added that he would not stoop to respond to criticism by Reddy as it would compromise his dignity.

Azharuddin pointed out that the courts had already given him a clean chit in the betting allegations made against him, and that he had represented India's greatness on the world stage even when some had branded him a traitor.

The minister accused the BJP of targeting him during the Jubilee Hills elections, and expressed gratitude for the public support he received. He reiterated that he preferred not to engage with his detractors.
