Huge Irregularities In Sale Of Ind-Aus T20 Match Tickets: BJP
Former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy alleged that the irregularities began with the handing over of the tickets' sale to PayTM by HCA president Mohammad Azharuddin.
BJP leader and former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy today alleged that huge irregularities had taken place in the sale of tickets for Sunday's T20 cricket match between India and Australia.
He alleged that the irregularities began with the handing over of the contract for the tickets' sale to PayTM by HCA president Mohammad Azharuddin.
He wondered how 30,000 tickets were sold by PayTM in a span of just 20 minutes, and alleged that all those involved in the ticket sale had made a lot of money by selling the tickets in the black market.
He also claimed that State Sports Minister V Srinivas Goud had intervened into the issue of the tickets' sale following a direction from minister K T Rama Rao.
He said that the tickets' sale "scam" was on the same lines as the "Kaleswaram, Phoenix and liquor scams", and asked the rulers of the State how many scams they would commit to waste public money.
He also asked the State government what role it had in the sale of the tickets.
