Modi Should Own Responsibility For Bihar: Owaisi
The Hyderabad MP said that in independent India, no sitting PM had gotten so involved in a State Assembly election, addressing more than 35 public meetings.
MIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi should own the responsibility for the debacle of the BJP in the Bihar assembly elections, as it was his personal defeat.
Speaking to the media, Owaisi said that the most important point in this election was that this was a personal defeat for Modi.
He said that in independent India's history, no sitting Prime Minister had gotten so involved in a State Assembly election, addressing more than 35 public meetings.
He also thanked the people of the Seemanchal region in Bihar who voting for his Party's candidates.
"I thank the people who voted for us and for giving us support. I would like to reassure the people of Seemanchal that we have talked about the development of the region, and that will continue," he said.
It may be mentioned here that the AIMIM had fielded its candidates in six constituencies in Bihar.
"Hopefully when elections are held in five years from now, we will definitely be in a stronger position and see our candidates win," Owaisi said.
