A jubilant TRS today celebrated the
victory of its MLC candidate Surabhi Vani Devi who won the Hyderabad-Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy seat.
Telangana Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav expressed his pleasure at the victory and extended his sincere thanks to the graduates and the educated youth for having supported the candidate after believing in the TRS government's commitment to welfare.
The minister told the press that he believed that the win was the result of the government's successful implementation of several welfare schemes.
"Our victory can be attributed to the support of the graduates, the employees and the educated youth who trusted the KCR government and its welfare schemes despite the Opposition's continued attempts to spread misinformation against us. Though they tried to misguide the people, our voters knew the truth and supported us," Yadav said.
"With the backing of the government, Vani Devi will surely be able to address the issues being faced by the people of her constituency in an effective," he added.
Ministers Gangula Kamalakar and Satyavathi Rathod also exuded joy at the pink party's recent success, and said that they would honour the trust put in their party by the people of Telangana by always working for the development of the state and the welfare of its people.
The declaration of the outcome of the MLC election in the other graduate constituency, Warangal-Nalgonda-Khammam, is expected to come later tonight. In this seat too, it a TRS candidate, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy (fighting to retain his sea), that has the lead so far.
