BJP leader and incumbent Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar MLC, N Ramachander Rao, who recently
lost his seat to the TRS' Surabhi Vani Devi, today added to the list of allegations against the TRS for using "underhand means" to secure the MLC seats in the recent elections in the two graduates' constituencies of Warangal-Nalgonda-Khammam and Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar.
However, instead of citing the ruling party's alleged bids at coercing voters to support its candidates, Rao accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of deliberately leaking information about the
increased fitment announced today before the elections to ensure the wins.
He also alleged that the TRS' leaders had distributed a lot of money, using online payment apps like Google Pay and Paytm, to buy votes, and that the illicit cash distribution amount had likely crossed crores of rupees.
The leader even submitted a representation on the issue to the state's Chief Electoral Officer, Shashank Goel, and urged him to order a CBI probe into the ruling party's alleged misuse of power and the irregularities allegedly committed by it.
Rao's accusations follow a string of similar complaints. Just yesterday, BJP head Bandi Sanjay Kumar had also levelled a
series of allegations against the TRS, and had alleged that its leaders had threatened the graduate voters in the two constituencies in order to secure votes.
