Raja Singh Expresses Threat To His Life, Writes To Police

The controversial BJP MLA T Raja Singh today wrote a letter to the IGP of the Intelligence department asking him why the department was not replacing his bulletproof vehicle.

He asked the IG if he was seeking permission from CM K Chandrashekar Rao to replace his vehicle, or just showing negligence in replacing it.

He told the IG that he was facing a threat to his life, and that there was a possibility of an attack by anti-social elements on him.

He however needed to visit his constituency and take part in development programs, he wrote in his letter, and demanded that the IGP allot him a new bulletproof vehicle.

For the uninitiated, Raja Singh had expressed anger over the frequent snags in his existing bulletproof vehicles on Monday. He alleged that the officials of the Intelligence department had allotted him a defective vehicle despite knowing about the threats to his life.

He said that he had been allotted a bulletproof vehicle by the State government following a warning from the central intelligence department, and that the vehicle had stopped in the middle of a road four months back, due to which he had returned it to the State government. He alleged that the same vehicle was sent to him after carrying out repairs, and that it continued to malfunction.
