TDP Says KCR Sold Himself Out To GoldStone Prasad

The Telangana TDP said that the state government's callous attitude in dealing with the bail petition in the Supreme Court was the best evidence of it.

Alleging that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had sold himself out to GoldStone Prasad, the Telangana TDP has said that the state government's callous attitude in dealing with the bail petition in the Supreme Court was the best evidence of it.

Speaking to the media after visiting the Ghansiguda area, Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy alleged that the state government had not even sent advocates to argue the case in the Supreme Court in regard to the Miyapur land scam. The government made the advocate general abstain from attending the case, he alleged, and said that the culprits in the scam all got bail easily as a result.

TDP leaders L Ramana, A Revanth Reddy, Ravula Chandrashekar Reddy, Aravind Kumar Goud and others had previously consoled the farmers of Ghansiguda village in Shamshabad mandal in Shamshabad district, who were victims of land encroachment by some people.

Speaking on the occasion, Reddy said that according to tradition, the state government needed to file a caveat to see that the culprits did not get bail in the Supreme Court after the High Court refused bail to them. The government however did not file the caveat when the bail petition came for trial on Friday for GoldStone Prasad's brother Parthasaradhi and his partner Sharma.

He said that the Advocate General, too, abstained from attending Supreme Court on Friday.

Demanding the Chief Minister tell for how much he sold himself out to GoldStone Prasad, Reddy said that the Chief Minister had the responsibility to give an explanation.

He said, "IT Minister K T Rama Rao says that the state government itself exposed the Miyapur land scam, and other ministers and TRS leaders say that the Chief Minister exposed it. On the other hand, the Chief Minister says that no scam has taken place at all. And it is taking the Chief Minister's statement into consideration that the Supreme Court granted bail to Prasad's brother Parthasaradhi and his partner Sharma," he said.

Not deputing advocates to the court indicated corruption, he said, and alleged that the Chief Minister was trying to water down the scam.

Reddy also said that no action was taken against the person working in the CMO. He also pointed out that the Chief Minister had announced that the case would be handed over to CID 20 days ago, but that there had been no action on it yet. No CID officer had come to Ghansiguda to inquire into the issue, he said.
