CPM leader B V Raghavulu today accused Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who had promised a Golden Telangana, of only making a few people "Golden babus".
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Raghavulu said that everyone was happy when KCR had announced that he would transform the new-born state into Bangaru Telangana. The past three years had however been primarily about all promises being dashed to the ground, and continuous corruption, and the people had become completely frustrated with KCR and his government.
He said that the latest allegations were the last straw, and that the irate people of the state would not leave either KCR's family or Keshava Rao's family if the latter were really involved in the land scams. He also joined the chorus of demands by opposition parties that the state government order a CBI inquiry into the land scam.
CPM state secretary Thammineni Seetharam demanded that the state government order a judicial inquiry into the Miyapur land scam. He said that TRS secretary general K Keshava Rao giving a clean certificate to himself was not enough. He asked the Chief Minister to respond on the scam as news reports were coming in continuously in the newspapers that the scam took place at the instance of the Chief Minister's own office and his ministers.
