A 17-year-old intermediate student Chandini Jain of Silver Oakridge Junior College in Bachupally was brutally murdered by unidentified killers in Madinaguda under the Miyapur police station limits.
The body was found at Ameenpur Hills on the city outskirts on Monday.
Jain, the daughter of businessman Kishore Jain, residing at Satyanarayana Enclave in Madinaguda, went out to meet her friends on Saturday evening and did not return till late night. When her parents tried to call her at 9pm, her mobile phone was switched off. The panicking parents approached the police, who registered a kidnap case and took up investigation. CCTV footage collected from near the victim's house in Deeptisrinagar in Madinaguda showed that Jain had followed a man who took her away in an auto after she left home on Saturday evening.
Even as the search was on, the police received information about the girl's body from the locals of Ameenpur on Monday evening.
The Cyberabad Joint Commissioner of Police, along with his team, visited the spot and recovered the decomposed body of Chandini Jain. There were no injuries on the body, which was found is an isolated place.
A post-mortem was conducted today at Gandhi Hospital. Sangareddy SP Chandrasekhar Reddy also visited the spot where the body was found.
