MIM MLA Ahmed Balala on Thursday urged the State Government to increase the retirement age of its employees from 58 to 60 years.
Raising the issue during the Zero Hour in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, Balala said that the retirement age in 24 out of 29 States was 60 years. Therefore, he demanded that the retirement age in Telangana too be enhanced to 60 years.
He said that the new State needed the services of experienced employees. He also expressed concern over the non-issue of pensions to the retired employees of the SC, ST, BC and minorities corporations.
Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali assured looking into the demand. (INN)
