Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy said that though the "car" belonged to the ruling TRS (it's the TRS' election symbol), the MIM was at the steering wheel.
This had been stated by none other then MIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Reddy alleged while speaking to the media at NTR Trust Bhavan.
Quoting surveys conducted by his Party, the TDP leader predicted that the TDP-BJP combine would win 80 to 85 seats in the upcoming GHMC elections. The main contest in the elections would be between the TDP-BJP and the TRS-MIM combines, he claimed.
He said that tickets would be given to those who have been dedicated workers.
Reddy said it was the Centre that was implementing the double bedroom housing scheme in the urban areas (and not the State government which was taking the credit), and that the TDP-BJP combine alone was capable of building four lakh double bedroom houses in the Greater Hyderabad limits.
He also alleged that the TRS was trying to win the GHMC elections by encouraging defections and through undemocratic methods, and that it was going to spend Rs 300 crores on the elections.
