Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh Naidu today said that Mangalagiri would be developed on par with Cyberabad in Hyderabad.
Speaking to the media, Naidu said that Mangalagiri would emerge as a hi-tech city in the future. Rs 220 crores had been invested so far by various firms in the IT park at Mangalagiri, he said, and added that 10,000 youth will get jobs by the end of 2019 in the IT cluster being constructed over 200 acres in the town.
The minister said that the government aimed to provide two lakh jobs in the IT and electronics sectors in the next two years. Various top IT companies were coming forward to invest in AP, particularly in Mangalagiri, he said, adding that HCL would begin its operations by December this year.
