Mahesh Babu Writes To ED For Another Date For His Appearance
The actor wrote to the Enforcement Directorate officials that he would not be able to attend the hearing scheduled for April 28 due to his shooting schedule.
Telugu film actor Mahesh Babu has written a letter to the Enforcement Directorate officials stating that he would not be able to attend the hearing scheduled for Monday (April 28) due to his shooting schedule.
He requested the ED officials to give him another date for him to appear.
The shooting of his movie being directed by S S Rajamouli is currently going on abroad. In this context he requested the ED officials to give him another date.
It is known that Mahesh Babu is working as the brand ambassador of a real estate company called Sai Surya Developers and the Surana Group, which are being investigated separately by the ED for fraudulent activities. ED officials reportedly found that Mahesh Babu had taken a remuneration of Rs 5.90 crore for the promotion, of which Rs 2 crore was in cash. The ED issued notices to Mahesh Babu on April 22 in the wake of allegations that he influenced people to invest in these companies that were involved in money laundering cases, and to understand the nature of the payments made to him.
Mahesh Babu was asked to appear at the ED office in Basheer Bagh for questioning on the 28th at 10:30 am.
