Guntur Congress MLA Kanna Lakshminarayana today reacted to the "Madhu Koda" statement made by Guntur Congress MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao on Friday.
Rayapati had alleged that there are several Madhu Kodas (referring to the former Jharkhand Chief Minister who is in jail for money laundering to the tune of Rs. 4,000 crore) in the Rosaiah cabinet, and demanded that they all be removed in order to protect the party's image.
Rayapati, however, refused to name the corrupt ministers, but said he had handed over a letter containing their names to the party president Sonia Gandhi. He also said the CM must sack party members who were disloyal to Rosaiah.
In response, Lakshminarayana said that these allegations were baseless, and indicated that Rayapati's remarks were maligning the Congress party. However, he added that if these accusations can be proved, then action must surely be taken against the guilty.
