An Andhra Pradesh cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today reportedly discussed the issue of the arrest of party Telangana MLA Revanth Reddy on the alleged charges of attempting to bribe another MLA for a vote for the TDP candidate in the Telangana MLC elections.
In the meeting, the members apparently discussed how the TRS, which had a strength of only 63 MLAs in the Telangana Assembly, could field a fifth candidate for an MLC post.
The TDP ministers reportedly charged KCR with indulging in horse-trading to ensure the win of his fifth candidate in the poll.
Naidu reportedly commented that it was the TRS' strategy to defame the TDP in Telangana by enacting such tactics.
According to sources, the AP cabinet also discussed various policies of the government, including the development of ports, marine activities, food processing and so on.
It was also decided to conduct "Maa Vooru, Nava Nirmana Deekshas" in each district under the supervision of the minister in-charge of the district. (NSS
