Guntur MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao on Tuesday said that the Congress would soon take action against ministers accused of corruption.
Talking to reporters in Tirumala, Rayapati said that the action against three ministers named in the issue of the 26 controversial GOs was certain. However, he did not elaborate on when the action might be taken.
It may be mentioned here that three ministers - Dr. J Geetha Reddy, Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Kanna Laxminarayana - have been served notices by the Supreme Court in connection with Disproportionate Assets case of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Rayapati said that the results of the Karnataka election had their repercussions in the state as well as at the Centre. That was the reason why two ministers - Dharmana Prasada Rao and Sabitha Indira Reddy - were asked to resign after they were named as accused in the CBI chargesheet, he said. (INN)
