A total of 665 votes were polled in the elections.
Several bigwigs of the industry cast their votes in the bitterly contested elections.
Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Mohan Babu, Ramcharan Tej, Roja, Ali, Jayaprada, Genelia D' Souza, Giribabu, Akhil Akkineni, Nani and Priyamani were among those who cast their votes.
However, several other prominent actors of Tollywood were conspicuous by their absence. Some of them were Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Junior NTR, Prabhas, Rana, Nithiin, Naga Chaitanya, Sharwanand, Sunil, Sumanth, Sushant, Satya Dev, Allu Shirish, Varun Tej, Sait Tej, Vaishnav Tej, Vijay Devarakonda, Anand Devarakonda, Ravi Teja, Anushka, Ileana, Trisha, Rakulpreet Singh, Hansika and Niharika.
Most of the above actors could reportedly not cast their votes as they were preoccupied with shootings and other works.
Meanwhile, the elections saw some tense moments at the polling centre. The members of the Prakash Raj and Manchu Vishnu panels entered into a bitter argument with each other, and there was jostling between them. However, the police present at the polling centre dispersed the panel members and their supporters in order to ensure a peaceful atmosphere at the polling centre.
On knowing about the arguments, veteran actor and the father of Manchu Vishnu, Mohan Babu, expressed his anger over it. And the panel members of Manchu Vishnu lodged a complaint against Sameer, a member of the Prakash Raj panel, with the election officer.
A video also appeared to show Hema biting Shiva Balaji's arm when the members were standing in the queue for their turns to vote.
