On Thursday, the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee announced that its struggle will continue till the formation of a separate Telangana state.
Addressing the second round table conference in the national capital, TPJAC chairman M Kodandaram said that the Telangana movement can't be stopped till the Centre grants statehood to the region.
He said that the Telangana issue should be treated not as an economic problem, but as a political issue.
Kodandaram also alleged that the revenues from the Telangana region were being diverted to the Andhra and the Rayalaseema regions.
The TPJAC chairman also slammed the Congress-led UPA government for going back on its promise regarding the formation of Telangana.
He recalled the sequence of events that had led to the formation of the Joint Action Committee on December 24, 2009.
Meanwhile, he said that the TPJAC is a representative body of all pro-Telangana organisations. (INN)
