The all-party Telangana Joint Action Committee was supposed to have met today. The meeting was postponed because the Congress leaders were unavailable. The Congress Telangana leaders met at Kesava Rao's residence this morning.
However, the JAC chief Prof Kodandaram met the TDP Telangana politicians, and said the Congress will continue to be a part of the Telangana JAC.
Kodandaram stressed that there is no compromise on the deadline for a separate state of Telangana. He said there was no guarantee that committees would deliver justice, and said that he would comment on the Sri Krishna Committee set up for the AP issue only after details were brought out.
In Nizamabad, the activity for a separate Telangana is on at a pretty high pitch, with activities like rallies, a journalist's meet, and the students' JAC cleaning the outside of a train, forming part of the protests.
