TDP leader Nara Lokesh on Saturday objected to the Jagan Mohan Reddy government postponing the results of the Class X exams apparently for political reasons.
He asked what wrong the innocent children had committed if the officials did not give prior information on the results to the education minister, and demanded an explanation from the government to the children on the abrupt postponement of the results.
"Over six lakh students were eagerly waiting for today's results. How could these results be postponed at the last minute? What was the real reason for postponing them? Was it because the minister was unhappy or for changing marks to Jagan-mark results? The inefficiency of Jagan Mohan Reddy's rule has gotten exposed one more time," he said.
The TDP leader added that minister Botsa Satyanarayana seemed to know the number of his own wine shops in the State but not the number of government schools.
Meanwhile, Lokesh consoled the wife, mother and family members of slain TDP activist Kancherla Jallaiah over the phone. He accused Jagan Mohan Reddy of perpetrating "social injustice" under the cover of his "Samajika Nyaya Bheri" bus yatra.
Lokesh warned that the YCP leaders would be wrong if they believed that they could commit any crime and escape from punishment taking advantage of the "Raja Reddy constitution". The TDP would come to power in the next elections and would ensure deterrent punishment, he vowed.
