Telangana Municipal Administration and IT Minister K T Rama Rao today said that life, employment and livelihood were all essential in this coronavirus crisis.
Along with ministers E Rajender, K Eshwar and G Kamalakar, KTR launched a mobile ambulance of Prathima Foundation in the Karimnagar district headquarters.
Speaking on the occasion, KTR said that the coronavirus had had adverse effects on almost all the nations in the world, and that despite that all nations had learnt that lockdowns could not be imposed for long as they would lead to problems of employment and revenue loss.
Given the adverse effects of the coronavirus crisis, the focus now needed to be on economic development, KTR said.
He stressed the need for employment, livelihood and financial development despite the existence of the coronavirus-related problems.
Rajender accused the opposition parties of making a hue and cry on the coronavirus testing and cases. He said that the state government was following the ICMR guidelines for Covid-19 testing. There was some confusion initially as the virus was new, and hence there was a small learning curve, the minister said. The opposition parties though were using that to continuously and loudly make false charges, he claimed.
