ISIS Issue: Sedition Case On Asaduddin Owaisi

A Hyderabad district court directed the Police to file a case against MIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi under Section 124-A of the IPC.

A Hyderabad court today directed the police to file a case against MIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi over sedition charges.

Advocate Karunasagar approached the Ranga Reddy court and filed a petition urging the booking of Owaisi for his alleged seditious statement about providing legal aid to the alleged ISIS operatives who were arrested by the NIA on June 30.

After taking up the petition, the court asked the Saroornagar police to register a case against the Hyderabad MP under Section 124-A (sedition) of the Indian Penal Code and submit an inquiry report by July 30.
