Hyderabad | 8th April 2018
The Left parties - the CPI and the CPM - today warned the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre of doom for ignoring the cry for Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to the media on Sunday on the occasion of the CPI's 26th State mahasabha, CPI Andhra Pradesh secretary K Ramakrishna and CPM secretary P Madhu said that they would be organizing a mammoth public meeting at Anantapur in support of SCS under the aegis of the CPM, the CPI and the Jana Sena. Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan would attend the meeting, they said.

They appealed to the people to take part in the agitation to achieve special category status for the state. They said that they would take a decision on the course of action in the mahasabha.

The leaders also ridiculed AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for staging a cycle yatra and Delhi yatra for special category status.
