CPM Holds Protest In Support Of Women Wrestlers
The CPM today took out a rally in support of the ongoing agitation by the women wrestlers of the country seeking the arrest of BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh.

The CPM city committee today took out a rally from the Golconda chowrasta to the RTC Cross Roads in support of the ongoing agitation by the women wrestlers of the country demanding the immediate arrest of BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh for allegedly sexually harassing women wrestlers.
CPM city secretariat member K Nagalakshmi presided over the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, CPM State secretariat member T Jyothi said that the CPM fully supported the just fight of the women wrestlers, and alleged that the union government was treating the women wrestlers who had brought laurels to the country in an insulting manner in its attempt to save the BJP MP, and trying to suppress their agitation.
She said that the CPM would stand by the women wrestlers who had been protesting on the streets of Delhi for the past 40 days till justice was done, and appealed to all sportspersons to stand in solidarity with them.
She also called upon the people of the state to protest against the union government's attitude towards the women wrestlers.
CPM State secretariat member D G Narasimha Rao, State committee member and former MLA Nandyala Narasimha Reddy, CPM city secretary M Sudhakaran and others were present at the protest program.
CPM city leaders M Srinivasa Rao, M Venkatesh, K N Rajanna, G Naresh, N Maranna, C Mallesh, R Venkatesh, G Kiran, Ashok, M Ajay Babu, R Vani, J Kumaraswamy and others also participated in the program.
