Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy said that the TRS government would give top priority to peace, and maintenance of law and order in the State.
Speaking to media persons after assuming charge at the State Secretariat in Hyderabad on Thursday, Nayani said that all the required steps would be taken to ensure law and order across Telangana.
He said that stress would be laid on crime controls and providing security for women.
He stated that CCTV cameras would be installed at strategic locations across Telangana, especially Hyderabad, for effective vigilance to prevent crime and terrorist activities.
Nayani also claimed that outlawed Maoists were not active in the Telangana State. He described the reports of increase in Maoists activities as mere speculation.
He also announced that the Crime Investigation Department would be strengthened to ensure the early resolution of pending cases. (INN)
