The Bharatiya Janata Party is aiming to encash upon the Telangana sentiments through BJP national leader L K Advani's Jan Chaitanya Yatra, which will enter the Telangana region on 18 October.
Former BJP MLA Dr. K Laxman on Saturday told reporters that Advani will speak about a separate Telangana and the corruption prevailing in the state, during his 3-day long Yatra.
Advani's Yatra, which started in Bihar on 11 October, will enter Andhra Pradesh on 18 October at the AP-Maharashtra border in Adilabad district.
The Yatra will then move towards Nizamabad, covering Ichoda, Nirmal, Balkonda and Armoor.
Advani will address a public meeting in Nizamabad on 18 October.
The next day, the Yatra will start from Nizamabad and move towards Hyderabad, covering Kamareddy, Sircilla, Siddipet, Pranjnapur and Shamirpet.
Advani will address a public meeting in Hyderabad on 19 October.
Laxman said that all arrangements have been made for the Yatra and for public meetings at both Nizamabad and Hyderabad.
He reiterated that only BJP could give a separate Telangana if voted to power in the next general elections. He said Advani's Yatra would also prove to be a death knell for rampant corruption prevailing in the state. (INN)
