BRS working president K T Rama Rao today launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of holding secret meetings with BJP leaders to safeguard his political position.
Taking to social media platform X, KTR alleged that while Reddy publicly postured against BJP leaders, he was privately engaged in backdoor dealings with them.
"The CM pretends to fight the BJP in public while secretly colluding with them. This is Congress politics at its worst," he alleged.
"It is shameful that a Congress CM is secretly meeting BJP leaders. Telangana has never witnessed such treachery," he added.
KTR also said that BJP MLA Raja Singh's recent remarks had exposed Reddy's alleged backdoor dealings with the BJP.
He accused the Congress of practicing a "dirty political culture" where leaders prioritised their power over public welfare, and created divisions among the people for political survival.
He also lambasted Reddy for "ignoring" pressing State concerns, such as the agrarian "crisis" and the "rising suicides" among students in residential schools, in the process.
"Farmers are struggling, students are suffering, and yet the CM does not have time for review meetings. But he has enough time for secret discussions with BJP leaders. This is an unpardonable betrayal," he said.
KTR labelled Reddy as a "Cheap Minister" rather than a Chief Minister and questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's "silence" on the matter.
"Rahul Gandhi often talks about BJP infiltrators in the Congress. Does he have the courage to act against his own CM, who is striking secret deals with the BJP?" KTR wrote.
The BRS leader claimed that these alleged secret meetings were part of a broader conspiracy to destabilise Telangana's progress, and warned the CM that the people of Telangana would not tolerate such "ugly politics", and would reject both the BJP and the Congress, "two Delhi-based parties that do not understand Telangana's interests".
"Telangana has come too far to be dragged into the dirty tricks of the Congress and the BJP. The people will fight back and ensure that these conspiracies fail," he said.
