KTR To Lay Stones For Five New Bridges In Hyderabad On Monday
Minister K T Rama Rao will lay the foundation stones for the construction of five bridges across the Musi/Musa and Esa rivers in the city on September 25.
Telangana Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K T Rama Rao will lay the foundation stones for the construction of five bridges across the Musi/Musa and Esa rivers in the city on Monday.
The State government had initiated proposals for the construction of 14 bridges across the Musi and Esa rivers from Narsingi to Gowrelli to ease the traffic congestion in the core city of Hyderabad in a stretch of about 55 km.
Due to Covid, the exercise got delayed by over two years. The HMDA is now constructing five bridges of four lanes each across the two rivers - two across the Esa river and three across the Musi.
The two bridges on the Esa river will come up at the Budvel IT Park, and the remaining three, on the Musi river, will come up at Manchirevula, at the HMDA Layout Uppal Bhagayath, and at Pratap Singaram. The bridges will cost Rs 168 crore, and will be completed in 15 months.
Rao will lay the foundation stones for all the five bridges at a single location at Uppal Bhagayath on Monday.
