KTR To Inaugurate Kothaguda Flyover On Jan 1
The 2.2-km flyover has been built under the Strategic Road Development Plan at an expense of Rs 263.09 crore by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K T Rama Rao will inaugurate the Kothaguda multi-level flyover at the Botanical Garden junction in the city on Sunday.
The flyover has been built under the Strategic Road Development Plan at an expense of Rs 263.09 crore by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
The main flyover will be five-laned from the SLN Terminus to the Botanical junction, six-laned from the Botanical junction to the Kothaguda junction, and three-laned from the Kothaguda junction to the Kondapur RTO Office. The length of the main flyover is 2.2 km.
The up ramp of the flyover at Botanical Garden will be two-laned and 401 metres long. It will facilitate traffic from the Masjid Banda road to the Botanical Garden junction.
The down ramp towards Hitec City will be three-laned and 383 metres long, and will facilitate traffic from the Kothaguda junction towards Hitec City.
As a part of this multi-level flyover project, a three-lane 470-metre-long underpass has also been built at the Kothaguda junction for traffic from Hafeezpet to Gachibowli.
The multi-level flyover is expected to resolve the traffic issues at the Botanical Garden junction and the Kothaguda junction.
